This Signatory 100-Proof 14-year-old Miltonduff 2011 came from a small batch of first fill Oloroso sherry butts and hogsheads bottled at the 100 Proof in the old Imperial system, aka 57.1%. Balmenach is another quiet distillery making high quality single malt whisky for owner Chivas Bros’ Ballantine’s blended Scotch whisky – these punchy 100-Proof editions from Signatory are fantastic examples of the distillery’s capability.
