This 34-year-old Bowmore 1989 came from single cask 1972, a bourbon hogshead, and was finished in fresh sherry quarter casks before turning out a total of 162 bottles at its very promising natural cask strength of 44.3%. Bowmore from the 1980s can be hit or miss – this one was definitely a hit.
