A splendid Blanton’s Gold Edition Single Barrel bourbon, this is Barrel 656 and was bottled in 2023 at 103 US proof (51.5%) by Buffalo Trace, where the Blanton’s brand was introduced in the mid-1980s.
First created in 1984 by bourbon legend Elmer T. Lee, Blanton’s was arguably the original prestige single barrel bourbon and the Gold Label is one of the best bottlings in the range, selected and hand-bottled from the greatest individual casks in Buffalo Trace’s inventory.
