An old bottle of single cask Dalmunach 2015 7-year-old Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by independent bottlers Duncan Taylor for their Octave Cask range of whiskies. Octave casks are made by disassembling a 500-litre sherry butt and rebuilding it into eight much smaller casks.
This 7-year-old Dalmunach 2015 began life in a standard cask before being finished in the octave, which yielded just 87 bottles at its natural cask strength of 55.2%. This was the oldest Dalmunach we’d had so far at the time and will be sought after by Dalmunach collectors.
