A fresh young Longmorn 2014 assembled by Morrison Distillers from a small batch of ex-bourbon barrels and bottled as a 6-year-old at 47.5% for their Carn Mor Strictly Limited range.
Judging by the colour, this Longmorn has picked up plenty of character for such a brief ageing period, no doubt helped by the generous surface area to volume ration of the small bourbon barrels. For a distillery of Longmorn’s deserved standing, this Carn Mor 6-year-old looks like great value and well worth a punt for anyone after a high quality aperitif Speyside malt.
