The 2007 Special Release of Talisker 25 year old initially sold slowly (how mad is that in retrospect, it’s a stunning whisky!). Owners Diageo repackaged a load of the stock in these fancy gift packs to try and shift it faster.
These were terrific releases that showed off Talisker in all its full strength glory. Massively peppery, salty, coastal and medicinal with a beautiful smoky, kippery, citrus zing. Wonderful whisky and quite unique in character.
