A single cask Ledaig 2007 13-year-old Island single malt whisky released by Signatory Vintage for their Cask Strength Collection.
Ledaig is of course the peated whisky made by Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, and this 13-year-old Ledaig 2007 matured in a refill sherry butt cask with an outturn of 572 bottles at 59.7% When Ledaig first started becoming trendy around 2009 it was with 3 to 5-year-old sherry monsters; these longer-aged, more complex teenage refill sherry casks are usually superb and have reinforced the distillery’s popularity.
