Description
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 46%
A 1979 Mosstowie Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2012 as a 32-year-old or 33-year-old by Gordon & MacPhail for their Rare Old range. Just 350 bottles of this were released at a nice drinking strength of 46%.
Mosstowie was made on Lomond Stills at Miltonduff distillery from 1964-1981. This G&M Mosstowie 1979 was matured in refill bourbon barrels and is one of the best examples of the make there is, with lots of easy green fruits, touches of spice and menthol with a great lasting fruitiness. Top notch stuff and dangerously drinkable.
