A remarkable single cask Glenfarclas 41-year-old Speyside single malt whisky released in 2009 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society with the SMWS code 1.141 and the apt subtitle One To Cherish and Love.
This 41-year-old Glenfarclas would have been distilled towards the end of the 1960s and, unusually for Glenfarclas, spent 41 years in a refill bourbon hogshead cask before yielding 157 bottles at an impressive natural cask strength of 48.1%. Bourbon cask Glenfarclas is always a joy, especially at this sort of age – this will be a phenomenal dram.
