An old bottle of the much-loved Dalwhinnie 15-year-old from Diageo’s Classic Malts selection, wherein it’s one of the Speyside representatives alongside, and in contrast to, Cragganmore.
A reliably delicious, approachable malt with a clean, biscuity character, pleasing sweetness and a thread of very delicate smoke, Dalwhinnie 15-year-old is one of the great aperitif malts and makes a very good starter single malt whisky for anyone new to the category.
