The 12th Edition of Kilchoman’s much-loved 100% Islay single malt is a batch of 35 casks – six of which were Oloroso sherry butts, with the remainder being ex-bourbon barrels.
Made entirely with locally-grown barley harvested from 2011-2013 and peated to 20ppm, this Kilchoman 100% Islay has a minimum age of 8 years old and was bottled at 50% without colouring or chill filtration – and as ever this is a limited edition and won’t be around for too long.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Elegant, sweet peat smoke, followed by waves of citrus and honey, finishing with notes of vanilla and salted caramel.
Palate: A Bourbon-driven 100% Islay brings an initial malt-driven profile followed by green fruits; apple and pear. Light spice, raisin and toffee are present towards the finish.
Finish: Peat smoke returns and remains on the palate. The oily texture of this 100% Islay allows for a creamy profile balanced with toffee and caramelised sugar.
