This 15-year-old Glenallachie 2006 came from a large Tawny Port cask that yielded an impressive 719 bottles at the potent full cask strength of 60.7%, which will amplify the whisky’s chocolate and sweet dark fruit flavours.

Colour: Golden Sunset.
Nose: Lashings of honey, dark chocolate and musky berries, followed by sweet spice, treacle and grape must.
Palate: Waves of blackberries, heather honey and cinnamon, followed by layers of mocha, dried fruits and vanilla pods.
