One of a pair of Pedro Ximenez sherry casks released by Glenallachie in Batch 5 of their UK Single Cask releases, this chestnut-coloured 14-year-old Glenallachie came from a PX hogshead of the 2006 vintage that yielded 329 bottles at its epic natural cask strength of 60.3%.

Colour: Rich Mahogany.
Nose: Waves of mocha, treacle and heather honey, with coconut, pineapple and ginger.
Taste: Lashings of dark chocolate, treacle, mocha, figs and stewed plums, followed by hints of cinnamon and orange zest.
