From the 3rd batch of releases from our friends at Woolf / Sung Spirits, we have this awesome single cask whisky from Caol Ila.
This whisky was distilled in 2009 and matured in a single ex-bourbon hogshead #319291 for 9 years.
It was bottled in 2019 at a cask strength of 59.7% and with a yield of just 470 bottles by Woolf / Sung for the Artful Dodger Whisky Collective series.
These guys bottle some fantastic drams at very reasonable prices, this is what indie bottling is all about.

This Consistent powerhouse of a distillery provided plenty of prospective casks to steal from and as ever the Dodger’s skill is in cask selection.
We’ve managed to pluck this well-balanced bruiser of a Caol Ila which brings its distinctive saline smoke and bright citrus oiliness to the fore.
