Aultmore is an often-overlooked Speyside distillery whose day job is making high quality Speyside single malt for owner Dewar’s blended whiskies.
In recent times more official Aultmores have appeared, but thankfully there are still occasional indie bottlings as well, such as this Aultmore 10-year-old bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for their Discovery range.
As the name would suggest, if you haven’t tried it yet this is an ideal way to discover the delights of Aultmore – a 10-year-old ex-bourbon cask matured Aultmore at an easy-drinking 43%.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Green apple, vanilla custard and hints of jasmine.
Palate: Smooth and creamy flavours of ripe peach and pineapple and a hint of cracked black pepper.
Finish: Underlying herbal notes and fresh citrus lemon.
