A 1974 Aultmore 21-year-old Speyside single malt whisky bottled without chill filtration at its hefty natural cask strength of 60.9% for the Rare Malts Selection in 1996, the distillery’s centenary year.  This was one of the last official bottlings of Aultmore from United Distillers before the distillery was sold to Bacardi as part of the deal that created Diageo in 1998.

Aultmore is a lively dram and this 1974 Rare Malts edition is typically rich and chewy with lots of cereal and malt characters overlying grassy notes and green fruits with lasting spiciness. A very naked Aultmore that shows plenty of distillery character.
