The third release as part of Balvenie’s Stories Range tells the story about when an unexpectant batch of heavily roasted, hard, dark and brittle barley arrived at the distillery.
This 26-year-old whisky was produced after experimenting with dark roasted barley, usually, the type used to make stout. The resulting whisky is full of depth with rich smokey oakiness, and the usual Balvenie citrus and vanilla notes.
