Blair Athol is a distillery whose output generally never gets further than a big vat marked ‘Bell’s’, but a small number of sherry casks are set aside for the distillery’s only regular official bottling, the Flora & Fauna edition.
Blair Athol 12-year-old Flora & Fauna is a tantalising dram, certainly among the most interesting of that particular series, with the sherry casks enhancing and complementing the Blair Athol distillate’s famous nuttiness.
