Bottled without colouring or chill filtration, this 14-year-old Blair Athol 2008 came from Cask 18601603, a refill bourbon barrel that yielded 165 bottles at a chunky natural cask strength of 57.8%. Blair Athol is more commonly matured in sherry casks, so a good refill bourbon cask edition at full strength is always going to be a fascinating dram.
