Blanton’s Gold Edition Single Barrel Kentucky bourbon whiskey is a series of high strength prestige single barrel bourbons selected in batches every year from the finest stock at Buffalo Trace distillery. This is Blanton’s Gold Single Barrel 626, bottled in 2024 at the Blanton’s Gold standard high strength of 103 US Proof (51.5%).
Blanton’s is an institution in American whiskey. The range was introduced in the mid-1980s by legendary bourbon master Elmer T. Lee, back when Buffalo Trace was still known as the George T. Stagg distillery. Blanton’s has a strong claim to be the first luxury single barrel bourbon brand and today the whiskey is still sourced from Buffalo Trace, while the Blanton’s brand has been owned by Japanese company Takara Shuzo since 1992.
