The Blanton’s brand was launched by Buffalo Trace in 1984 (when the distillery was still called George T. Stagg) as arguably the first luxury prestige single barrel bourbon range, and is often credited with helping to revive the flagging American whiskey market. The Japanese company Takara Shuzo have owned the Blanton’s brand since 1992, and the whiskey is still selected from the best stock at Buffalo Trace. These cask strength Blanton’s Straight From The Barrel single barrels are always delicious sipping drams and are the pinnacle of the Blanton’s range.
