A single cask Bowmore 1997 26-year-old Islay single malt whisky released in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by independent bottlers Adelphi for their Adelphi Limited series.
Bowmore’s 1997 vintage is a known wonder year, and as this cask was chosen by Adelphi as part of the special run of Adelphi Limited releases celebrating the company’s 30th Anniversary there’s every reason to expect fireworks here.
Cask 2410 was a refill Oloroso sherry butt that gave up 507 bottles at a natural cask strength of 55.5%, so expect a blistering whisky packed with salty, smoked fish, woodsmoke and maritime notes, alongside rich, spicy dried fruit and strong spices.
