Each of the Fable bottlings relates to a chapter in their first Scottish myth, the Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay. This 2009 Caol Ila is Chapter One, representing the village of Clanyard, apparently.
Caol Ila Fable Chapter One is a 2009 vintage hogshead bottled in 2021 as a 12-year-old without colouring or chill filtration at its natural strength of 57.5% and all the signs are that it will be splendid stuff. We’ve tried several 2008/9/10 Caol Ilas recently and all of them have been really good.
