Batch 18/074 is a 2000 Caol Ila bottled in 2018 by G&M for their new and improved Connoisseur’s Choice range. G&M have also spiced things up and bottled this one at a natural strength instead of the usual 46%.
It was matured for 17 years in a first fill bourbon barrel that yielded 138 bottles. The Connoisseurs Choice series is an iconic series that started in 1968.
To date, around 100 distilleries have been featured as part of the range, with over 2,000 individual bottlings. Each label on each bottle states all the information about the whisky inside such as cask type, strength, region, vintage and tasting notes.
