An old litre bottle of Cardhu 12-year-old Speyside single malt whisky. This is an official bottle of 12-year-old Cardhu released in the 1980s or early 1990s for the travel retail market.
Cardhu is an underrated malt in the UK but is hugely popular overseas. The 12-year-old Cardhu is a particularly big seller in Spain, where it is usually drunk with cola. These old Cardhu 12-year-olds were bottled at 43% and are easy-drinking but characterful whiskies showing a naturally gentle mix of honey, smoke, herbs, subtle white fruits and nutty, malty notes.
