A single cask 1996 Clynelish bottled as an 18-year-old without colouring or chill filtration in 2014 by Hunter Laing for their Old & Rare series. This one was matured in a single refill hogshead cask with an outturn of 304 bottles at 54.9%.
Almost all the 1996 Clynelish we’ve tasted so far have been excellent and this seems to be a peak age and cask type for them. If you like fresh, complex, coastal, characterful whisky then this should be perfect.
