Dalwhinnie seems to come alive at cask strength, more so than most distilleries. This 1992 single cask bottled in 2009 as part of the Managers’ Choice series is no exception. Big, buttery and modern yet focused and powerful as well. This is a fantastic and more accurate window into a great distillate that is rarely allowed out to play outside its usual 15 year old boundaries.
