A 40-year-old Bas Armagnac blended and bottled by the category-leading negociant Darroze for their prestige Les Grands Assemblage range.
For many years Darroze never blended any of their stock, hoarding their inventory of single cask eaux-de-vie and often bottling their most exclusive vintages a case or two at a time, and only to fill specific orders. The company eventually bowed to consumer demand and launched their Les Grands Assemblages range of blended Bas Armagnacs in 2011. There’s no better introduction to the delights of the Armagnac category, and this 40-year-old would make an amazing gift for any spirits fan celebrating a significant birthday.
