This 13-year-old Glen Elgin 2012 was bottled from an Oloroso sherry hogshead cask that yielded 289 bottles at a very poky 58.2%. Glen Elgin is a clean but robust spirit, and official bottlings are thin on the ground thanks to the distillery’s importance to the White Horse blended Scotch whisky. These cask strength indie bottlings are the best way to get to know this excellent distillery.
