A single cask Glen Elgin 1991 33-year-old Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2024 without colouring or chill filtration by Signatory Vintage for their high end Symington’s Choice series.
This 33-year-old Glen Elgin 1998 came from single cask 4072, a refill Oloroso sherry butt that yielded 253 bottles at a particularly potent natural cask strength of 58.7%. This was one of a pair of sister casks bottled at the same time – the other cask (4073) is a first fill Oloroso butt, so the two together will make for a fascinating comparison.
