An old bottle of Glen Moray 16-year-old Speyside single malt whisky, released back in the 1990s in a splendid and highly detailed presentation tin featuring one of the Scottish regiments in full livery. These tins have long been enormously popular and adorn the shelves, gantries and mantelpieces of many Scottish homes and pubs. This version is a 100cl bottle released at 43%, likely for the duty free / travel retail market.

This particular Glen Moray 16-year-old features the Black Watch Royal Highlanders, and let’s not forget that 1990s Glen Moray 16-year-old is a terrific dram in its own right, with the distillery’s 1970s distillate showing delicious mellow sherried Speyside fruit and warm, spicy oak flavours.
