A single cask Glendronach 1994 18-year-old Highland single malt whisky bottled in 2013 without colouring or chill filtration as as UK Exclusive single cask.
This 18-year-old Glendronach 1994 came from single cask 3547, a Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon that yielded 607 bottles at its temptingly poky natural cask strength of 55.1%.
These pre-1996 Glendronachs were produced in a relatively old-style fashion and filled into some top notch sherry casks, and the results took the whisky world by storm when Billy Walker started bottling them. Stunningly unctuous, rich, earthy and resinous sherry character with touches of wood spice, smoke, leather and balsamico. Great, great whisky.
