Under 20 years now. Teenage Glendronach is distinctly more balanced between the wood and the spirit. Less intense notes of polish and sherry and more sinew, spice, nuttiness and fruit. These are the sorts of drams that are worth buying and laying down as they will probably soar to stunning heights with about 20 years or more in glass.
Previous releases at this age have been big, leafy belters, filled with spice, chocolate, green fruits, marzipan and herbaceous qualities. Highly recommended, as usual.
