A small batch Glenrothes 2014 10-year-old Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2024 by Signatory Vintage without colouring or chill filtration for the summer outturn of their fantastic 100-Proof Editions series.
Glenrothes fill their casks at full distillation strength (around 69%) rather than the industry standard 63.5%, but the distillery themselves put out relatively few cask strength editions, so these heavy duty indie bottlings are always very welcome. This Signatory 100-Proof Edition bottled from Oloroso sherry butts will be a banger, and of course it looks like fantastic value for a sherried Speyside whisky of this age and quality.
