At this kind of age Glenrothes starts to show some of those beautiful notes of polish, beeswax, tinned fruits, graphite oil and honey that aren’t to be found in the younger expressions. It is a whisky very at home in sherry casks so this one should be a belter.

Official aged Glenrothes can be ridiculously expensive. This is a great change to try a sherried example with a bit of age behind it for much more reasonable price. The colour on this one looks stunning. Expect great things.
