This 18-year-old HTR Caroni 1998 came from a single cask of pot-distilled rum and was bottled by Cadenhead’s without colouring, chill filtration or additives at its extraordinary natural cask strength of 65.8%. The HTR mark indicates that this is the ‘Heavy Trinidad Rum’ from Caroni, the legendary Trinidad distillery that closed in the early years of the millennium, so keep your water jug handy.
