A single cask Ledaig 2005 16-year-old Island single malt whisky released by Elixir Distillers in 2021 for their Single Malts of Scotland series. This 2005 Ledaig was bottled without colouring or chill filtration at its full cask strength of 54.4%.
The cult of Ledaig, the peated single malt whisky made by Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, shows no sign of slowing down, with adventurous malt fans clamouring after every new release of this exceptionally idiosyncratic whisky. Ledaig’s curious earthy, rubbery spirit doesn’t appeal to all whisky drinkers, but fans of this instantly recognisable whisky accept no substitutes. Just 249 bottles came form this particular bourbon barrel, so don’t hang around long if you want one.
