A small batch 9-year-old Ledaig 2012 matured in Bordeaux red wine casks and released at cask strength in late 2022 as part of Tobermory’s Limited Edition series.
There’s not too many spirits that could retain their character after a full nine years in fresh red wine casks, but Tobermory’s peated Ledaig is definitely one of them – this 2012 vintage bottling is stuffed with both deep red fruit flavours and Ledaig’s trademark meaty BBQ smoke flavours.
Ledaig 2012 9-year-old Bordeaux Red Wine Cask Matured is a proper treat for lovers of the unusual peat/wine combo.

Official Tasting Notes
Colour: Bronze.
Nose: Smoked fudge, eucalyptus oil and carbolic soap.
Palate: Burning heather and pine cones. Grape skins and melons, wood smoked meats.
Finish: As the smoke drifts, some floral notes develop and finally lime pastilles.
