Independent distillers and bottlers Little Brown Dog up in Aberdeenshire have come up with this rather interesting Linkwood 2008, which they’ve finished in a French brandy cask.
A single cask Linkwood distilled in June 2008 and bottled in 2021 as a 13-year-old after a six-month finish in the brandy cask. 380 half litre (50cl) bottles were yielded at 54.5%.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Melon, soor plooms, gooseberry fool.
Palate: Bonne maman rhubarb jam, antique shop, pruneaux.
Finish: Stem ginger syrup, grape nerds and black pepper
