A single cask Linlithgow 1975 24-year-old Lowland single malt whisky released in 1999 or 2000 by mail order independent whisky bottlers Direct Wines for their First Cask series. Linlithgow was an alternative name for the classic lost Lowland distillery St. Magdalene, which closed in 1983.
This 24-year-old Linlithgow 1975 came from single cask 96/3/9, bottled without colouring or chill filtration at 46%. First Cask released half a dozen of these Linlithgows and they are classic long-aged Lowland drams, bursting with delicious grassiness and candied citrus flavours.
