The 2023 edition of Macallan Rare Cask, which is bottled at 43% after maturation in sherry-seasoned casks, a high proportion of which are said to be first fill casks.

Macallan Rare Cask first appeared in 2014 as part of the now defunct 1824 Masters series (whose demise it survived) and has since been a popular addition to the distillery’s range of regular small batch editions. An oily, nutty dram with a rich, chocolatey, dried fruit sweetness.
