Mortlach at this kind of age form this sort of cask starts to show some really luxurious notes of chocolate, fruit, spice, oranges and oak on top of those unmistakable leathery and sinewy meat qualities. It’s big, robust and fairly uncompromising whisky, which is a rare thing these days sadly.
