Marvellous to see more independently-bottled Mortlach, a field populated almost exclusively by Gordon & MacPhail until relatively recently.
This is a Signatory-bottled Mortlach 2007, vatted from two 13-year-old hogshead casks at 46% in 2020. Traditionally a particularly meaty whisky, it’s always interesting to taste a ‘naked’ Mortlach uncloaked by heavy sherry.
