When is a gin not a gin? When it’s a botanical spirit! This is a gin-adjacent, juniper-containing organic botanical spirit from the Nc’Nean distillery that also makes a delicious organic Highland whisky.
Nc’Nean’s organic botanical spirit is not juniper-driven enough to be called a true gin, but it has plenty of common botanical flavours (coriander, liquorice, angelica etc) alongside some more Scottish botanicals which grow wild around the distillery including sorrel, thyme and heather.
This is a collaborative effort, with the barley spirit provided by Nc’Nean, and the final botanical distillation performed by nearby Beinn An Tuirc distillers, who also make Kintyre gin.

Tasting Notes

Serving Suggestions
Like gin, drink over plenty of ice with tonic water and a slice of grapefruit. If you have any to hand, a dash of bitters is a delightful addition.
