An old bottle of Balvenie 12-year-old DoubleWood Speyside single malt whisky, this edition would have been bottled at some point soon after the turn of the millennium.

Matured first in traditional ex-bourbon casks before being transferred to sherry butts for a secondary maturation / finishing period, Balvenie’s iconic DoubleWood 12-year-old was introduced by the distillery’s pioneering Master Distiller Dr. David Stewart in the 1990s and was a groundbreaking dram that rivalled Glenmorangie Portwood as the earliest and most successful of the new wave of wine-finished single malt whiskies. A classic Speyside dram of its day.
