An old bottle of the splendid Wee Mongrel Batch 2 19-year-old blended malt whisky bottled by indie heroes Little Brown Dog Spirits in 2022. Like its predecessor, Wee Mongrel Batch 2 is entirely sherry-matured, having spent over 18 years in Oloroso sherry wood before an 8-month finishing period in a pair of Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads.
Pitched as ‘The Dogfather Pt. II’, Little Brown Dog’s Wee Mongrel 2 is a half litre of pure indulgence, as you might have guessed from its mouthwatering natural dark colour, and will be perfect for cold winter walks or nights in by the fire. There’s just 850 bottles of this one and it’s been bottled without colouring or chill filtration at its natural cask strength of 52.2%.
