A very special single cask single malt from an unnamed Speyside distillery beginning with M…… a distillery that famously used to mature their whisky only in sherry wood.
This 2010 M******* Speyside single malt was bottled in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by Little Brown Dog Spirits after finishing in a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask that yielded a total of 326 bottles at its natural cask strength of 57.9%.
This mystery M******* 2010 was bottled for LBD’s ‘Extra Value Range’ and there’s no doubt it lives up to its billing – if the distillery name was on the label, this whisky would cost much more.

Nose: Kirsch chocolate liqueurs, plums and honeysuckle.
Palate: Clootie Dumpling, cashew nuts and Ethiopean coffee.
Finish: Orange zest, cognac and nutmeg.
