Description
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 59.2%
A single cask Knockdhu 2013 bottled as a 10-year-old in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by Alistair Walker Whisky Co. for the Infrequent Flyers series.
This 10-year-old Knockdhu 2013 was finished in a puncheon cask that previously held Pedro Ximenez sherry and yielded 640 bottles at an extremely chunky natural cask strength of 59.2%.
Indie Knockdhu is rare nowadays, with the vast majority of the distillery’s available non-blending stock destined for official bottlings as An Cnoc. Expect plenty of delicious sticky-sweet cooked fruit and Christmas cake aromas flavours in this deep chestnut-coloured dram.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Colour: Mahogany.
Nose: A deep, earthy, leathery nose, with abundant fruit notes, specifically ripe red plums and cranberries. Burnt sugar and milk chocolate make cameo appearances.
Palate: As expected, the PX sherry influence is prominent; a sublime combination of stewed raisins and sultanas, chocolate liqueurs and treacle toffee, with both cinnamon and allspice dropping in for good measure.
