A small batch 1990 Ardmore 13-year-old bottled in 2003 by Gordon & MacPhail from a pair of refill bourbon casks at its full cask strength of 55.8%.
Nowadays Ardmore is very accessible, so it’s easy to forget that before the arrival of Ardmore Traditional Cask in 2007 official bottlings were almost non-existent and high quality indie bottlings from the likes of Gordon & MacPhail were the only way for whisky fans to taste this excellent distillery’s whisky, and this 13-year-old cask strength Ardmore 1990 is the perfect example.
