A single cask Balblair 2011 12-year-old highland single malt whisky bottled in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by indie bottlers A.D. Rattray for their Cask Collection series.
This 12-year-old Balblair 2011 came from a single sherry butt cask 635, and spent its last year of maturation in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt for good measure before turning out a total of 603 bottles at a robust natural cask strength of 57.4%. Balblair is one of Scotland’s greatest spirits and matures fantastically well in sherrywood – full strength indie casks at this sort of age are always a treat.
